Who We Are
Anusurja (অণুসূর্য) is Bangladesh's first multi-disciplinary publishing platform, bringing together scholarship, creative writing, and moving-image culture under a single institutional roof. Founded in Dhaka, we operate four interconnected wings — the Anusurja Research Journal, the Bunker Creative Journal, the Digital Humanities Lab, and the Cinema Hub — each with its own editorial identity yet united by a shared commitment to intellectual rigour and aesthetic courage. We are studying the time and expressions, to reflect on our mirror — every piece we host is edited, peer-reviewed or curated, archived, and assigned a permanent digital identifier.
Our Mission
To make discourse and imagination visible — especially discourse produced at the margins, in languages, geographies, and disciplines that global publishing hierarchies routinely overlook — to empower independent creators. We publish in English and Bengali, and we deliberately platform voices from South Asia, the Global South, and postcolonial traditions at the time of metamodernism.

Indexed, archival, open-access articles available freely; and Special Issues published in both print edition and online edition with full PDF access via subscription.
An academic research journal publishing original scholarship in postcolonial studies, anthropology, language, media criticism, and cultural sociology.
An experimental research space for computational textual analysis, corpus linguistics, digital archive projects, and methodology papers at the intersection of technology and the humanities.
Literary journal publishing every literary form (short story, poetry, essay, novel, etc.) and criticism—predominantly from Bangladeshi and South Asian writers working in English and Bengali.
A curated portal for independent fiction, documentaries, shorts, new media and criticism — with a focus on Bangladeshi, South Asian, and Global South cinema.
Editorial Principles
- Independence: We do not accept paper by outer influences. Editorial decisions are made solely by our editors.
- Rigour: Research submitted to the Journal undergoes peer review. Creative work is assessed by at least two editors.
- Diversity: We actively seek work from underrepresented geographies, languages, and scholarly traditions. We publish in Bengali and English equally.
