Privacy Policy

This policy applies to all wings of the Anusurja Platform (Research, Bunker, DiCEHL Lab, Cinemite, and the Main Hub). Last updated: August 2026.

1. Information We Collect

When you register an account, submit a manuscript, or subscribe to a wing, we collect the information you provide directly: your name, email address, and — for Author profiles — optional professional details such as affiliation, ORCID, social media handles, and a biography.

When you sign in using Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo as provided by Google. When our editorial team's Gmail integration sends you a notification, we do not access your own inbox — only our own connected sending account is used.

2. Payment Information

Subscription and article-purchase payments are processed through bKash and SSLCommerz. We do not store your card number, mobile banking PIN, or other payment credentials on our servers — these are handled entirely by the payment gateway. We retain only the transaction reference, amount, and status needed to confirm your access.

3. Cookies & Sessions

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in across the Anusurja domain and its wings. We do not use third-party advertising trackers. Some pages may embed content (e.g. a YouTube or Google Drive video) which is subject to that provider's own cookie policy.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to operate your account, process submissions and subscriptions, send transactional emails (verification, password reset, editorial decisions, payment receipts), and — only where an Author has an active submission — to enable the Author to be contacted about that submission's status.

5. Sharing with Third Parties

We do not sell personal data. We share the minimum necessary information with: payment processors (bKash, SSLCommerz) to complete a transaction; Google, solely to authenticate sign-in and send platform emails; and, only when a wing's Facebook/Instagram/LinkedIn integration is enabled and an article is published, the article's own public title, description, and cover image are posted to that wing's social media page — no personal reader data is ever included in this.

6. Data Retention

We retain account and submission data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to comply with our editorial and legal record-keeping obligations. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us using the details below.

7. Children's Privacy

Anusurja is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date on this page.
